Description
National Park Service: Meeting the Mission
"...for the enjoyment, education, and inspiration of this and future generations." Learn from producer Sarah Gulick of the National Park Service about how this 103-year-old federal agency uses video to advance its mission. NPS is a particularly compelling arena for video, given its mandate and the striking visual nature of the nation's natural and cultural treasures. Whether it is a visitor center theatre film, an online video series, a visitor safety orientation, or an exhibit AV element, funding for all video projects is tied to specific goals and objectives. In this visually rich presentation and Q&A session, she will take us behind the scenes sharing a range of video products and production paths and how a mission focus creates space for creativity. Sarah works for Harpers Ferry Center - the national design hub for interpretive media for the National Park Service. In addition to producing and directing films, she serves as an executive producer and manages government film and digital media contracts.
