1080p and HDR: The Future of Broadcast Imaging
Although UHD and HDR are usually mentioned together, HDR is not limited to just 4K. Full HD with HDR, produces a dramatic improvement in picture quality. The US is moving toward a de facto adoption of 1080p60 HDR for archive and delivery of live sports and events because it consumes about ¼ of the 4K/UHD data rate. ATSC 3.0 broadcast will permit delivery of HDR in a compatible transmission system for both HDR and SDR TVs. You'll learn about how HDR and 1080p will impact your future productions — bring your questions!
