With more than 400 video productions to her credit and dozens of workshops and speeches on storytelling every year, Amy is a leader in the field of digital content. She has garnered more than 40 creative excellence awards including Tellys, Peer, New York Festivals, Aurora, and CINE Golden Eagle, and speaks at conferences such as NABShow Las Vegas, IABM London, NAB Shanghai, and IBC Amsterdam. Amy helps to train other storytellers as a consultant to creatives at companies such as Federal Express, Microsoft and S&PGlobal, as well as through her Lynda/LinkedIn Learning courses that have more than 500 Million video views worldwide. Her book "The Producer’s Playbook: Real People on Camera" (Focal Press/Routledge) is used by professionals and in university programs around the world. Her new book "Sound & Story in Nonfiction Film and Video: A Practical Guide for Filmmakers and Digital Content Creators" has been called "the definitive resource on how to craft sound with a focus on storytelling."
Amy is not only a leading director of content, she has worked to increase opportunities for women in the industry. A Past President and member of the Advisory Board of Women in Film & Video (WIFV-DC), she launched the innovative pop-up event #GALSNGEAR, teaming WIFV with the National Association of Broadcasters to focus on building community, expertise, and speaking opportunities for women in screen media.
