Even though we have myriad ways to deliver our messages to our consumers, customers, and communities with social media these days, it hasn’t necessarily helped our ability to connect with them on a deeper, emotional level and inspire them to take action. For many video creators, having so many channels, tools, and delivery methods have created more problems. There is an increasing demand to deliver our messages in the shortest time possible, and that causes many creators to lose the ability to elicit that emotional response from their audience. This session will teach how to use simple storytelling techniques to craft short form videos that both create empathy and inspire action in just seconds. Rain Bennett is a two-time Emmy-nominated filmmaker, writer and competitive storyteller with 15 years experience producing documentary films that focus on health and wellness. He directed and produced his first feature-length documentary by traveling the world with a backpack and a Canon DSLR camera. That film, Raise Up: The World Is Our Gym won “Best of the Fest” at the Hip Hop Film Festival.
