Most people believe that drone operations are prohibited in Washington, D.C. But in the last two years, a process has opened up to permit justified drone flights within the "No-Fly Zone." Operators and companies with suitable cause may follow a new waiver process to obtain exemptions to the drone ban for purposes from support of public safety to aerial filmmaking.
